- From I-77 North, take John Belk Freeway / I-277 North (exit 9B) to the College Street exit. Take College Street (one-way) to 7th Street. Turn right onto 7th Street and cross the trolley tracks. - From I-77 South or I-85, take I-77 South to Brookshire Freeway (exit 11). Take Brookshire Freeway East / I-277 South (exit 11A). Take the Church/Tryon Street exit onto 11th Street. Turn right onto Tryon Street. Turn left onto 7th Street and cross the trolley tracks. ImaginOn is on the right, on the corner of 7th and Brevard, with the entrance facing 7th Street. Parking Under ImaginOn updated 12/12/2024
- As of January 2, 2025:
- Each driver must pull a single ticket upon entering the garage. Payment will be collected when the vehicle exits; only credit cards will be accepted. ImaginOn and Children’s Theatre of Charlotte customers can take advantage of the 90-minute free parking provided with a validated parking ticket. ImaginOn & CTC visitors should pull a ticket and get it validated even when the garage is being used for special event parking. The self-validation station will be located inside ImaginOn at the Box Office.

All drivers should keep their ticket in a secure place to use when exiting. The Lost Ticket fee is $45. Any vehicle exiting the parking garage after the garage closes will be charged an $85 fee. Garage hours will be posted. Overnight parking is prohibited; vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.

• 90-minutes free parking with validation
• Weekday: $5 every half hour or portion thereof* after a 90-minute validation period
• Weekday Maximum: $30
• Saturday & Sunday: $10 flat-fee after 90-minute validation period
• Lost Ticket: $45
• Exit After Garage Closed: $85
• CREDIT CARD ONLY
• *Example: 90 minutes of free parking with validation. Afterwards, the cost for parking for 31 minutes is $10 — $5 for the first 30 minutes, $5 for one minute since the second 30-minute period has commenced.

Off-Site
Parking at 7th Street Station
**As of April 1st, 2022, the Library will no longer be able to offer free/validated parking for the 7th Street Station.
Located across the Lynx light rail line from ImaginOn, 7th Street Station Parking Garage has entrances on 6th and 7th Street. The first 90 minutes can be validated for anyone who makes a purchase at the Market. Time in excess of 90 minutes will be charged at the posted garage rate (including special event rate).
The parking garage attached to the Market is operated by LAZ Parking. Please direct any questions or concerns to them here.
Children's Theatre of Charlotte will continue to validate parking for families and guests attending shows, classes, and camps.
Surface Parking Lots
Several ground level parking lots surround ImaginOn. Fees range from $8.00-$12.00 and must be pre-paid using exact change or by using a phone app. Phone app information can be found at each of the ground level lots. Rates may increase when there are Arena/Uptown events.
