Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is one of the nation’s top theatres for families, serving nearly 300,000 people each year with imaginative productions and wide-ranging education offerings for all ages.
Tickets and registration for Children’s Theatre productions and education programs are available at the Box Office at ImaginOn (open Monday through Friday, Noon – 5 pm, +1 hour before weekend and evening performances) and through the website at ctcharlotte.org.
Programs include:
- Award-winning, professional adult productions in the 570-seat McColl Family Theatre and 250-seat Wells Fargo Playhouse. Children’s Theatre’s season includes classic productions, innovative theatre, challenging work and inspirational performances for all ages.
- Education programs, including Creative Drama Classes, Theatre Workshops and Summer Camps, in ImaginOn’s studio classrooms and at satellite locations throughout the county.
- A Resident Touring Company -- one of the most respected and sought after arts groups in the country -- that visits schools throughout North Carolina and the Southeast, programs in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and a Community Involvement Program that encourages participation among non-traditional audiences in the region.
The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte offers classes for all ages, from preschoolers through high school students. Classes are taught by professional theatre artists with extensive experience as instructors, performers, directors and playwrights – and always, the ability to inspire and motivate young people.
